Café Soul is an annual event that fuses diversity and social justice with literature and the creative arts. Through spoken word, music, and dance, students, faculty, and staff express components of their identities and celebrate their contributions to the campus community. In addition, each event features a professional poet or speaker that highlights a dimension of diversity or a social justice issue. Past Café Soul featured poets include Mahogany L. Browne, Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai, Giddy Perez, J Mase iii, and Black Took.
