Peoria Charter bus tickets will no longer be sold at the Braden Box Office in the Bone Student Center. Customers can purchase tickets online through the Peoria Charter website, or at the Uptown Normal Transportation Center. Increased online sales have created challenges in available seats for tickets purchased from outlet locations, and the bus company has ended sales at the Braden Box Office location.
Sibling Weekend
Sibling Weekend will be held April 19 – 21. Lots of activities are planned including Gamma Phi Circus and Redbird baseball. More information can be found online.
April Stress
April can be a demanding and stressful month for students. Final projects and papers will be due at the end of the month. Frustration with group projects can emerge. Most student organizations will be having elections for new officers as well as hosting transition meetings and end of year celebrations. There is much to do in April and the arrival of good weather can be a distractor in getting things done. For seniors there is additional stress - post-graduation plans. They are job or graduate school searching which can come with stress of not being accepted or making decisions to move away from friends/family. The finality of “the last” experiences is setting in with feelings of separation. Please know there are resources available for your student to help with April stress - Visor Academic Center, Student Counseling Services, Dean of Students Office, Career Center.
