The CRC is a voluntary program for students who want to establish a community of support around their recoveries from alcohol and drugs. It is a support-based program; it is not a program that replaces the need for treatment or clinical support (i.e. formal substance abuse services, therapy). Students appropriate for this program are those who wish to or are already fully abstaining from substances/addictions.
The university’s CRC offers many opportunities for students in recovery, including, but not limited to:
For full benefits of this community, interested members must schedule an assessment to determine their appropriateness for this service and to review program policies and guidelines. Students who are questioning their substance use or are contemplating recovery should also establish contact, as opportunities to learn more addiction and recovery and also talk to students in recovery are available.
Collegiate Recovery Community will strive to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for students concerned with recovery from addiction.
Collegiate Recovery Community will, through advocacy and education, create a community that is conducive to recovery to aid students in achieving social and academic success.
