Student Rights

• Community Rights and Responsibilities: Community Rights and Responsibilities assists students engaged in conflicts with others and understanding what it means to be a member of the Illinois State University community.
• Conflict Resolution: Get solutions for resolving conflicts with students, faculty or staff.
• Students’ Attorney: Get help with legal issues or determine your rights in legal disputes.
• Student Discipline: Learn more about the Code of Student Conduct and get help if you are involved in the disciplinary process.

Student Organization Support

• Fraternity and Sorority Life: Get support or assistance as a member or leader of a Greek organization
• Student Involvement Center: Find out how to make your registered student organization the best it can be.

Student Support

• Diversity Advocacy: Provides academic, social and mentoring programs to help underrepresented students find their way at Illinois State.
• Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Student Support: Safe Zone provides a supportive environment for GLBT students, and their parents and allies.
• Mentor Program: Participate as a mentor or mentee through Mentoring, Academics, Scholarship, and Achievement Initiative / MASAI.
• Student and Community Outreach: strives to positively influence the campus culture and create an inclusive community for all Illinois State students and their families. Some areas of Student and Community Outreach include:
  • Nontraditional Student Services: Helps nontraditional students get connected with services and programs to help them be successful at Illinois State.
