Meet the Students' Attorney

Ed

Edward G. McKibbin, J.D.

About

Ed McKibbin serves as the Illinois State Students’ Attorney. In his service to students McKibbin provides legal information and guidance to students to help resolve their legal concerns, answer general legal questions, and prevent legal issues from occurring. Located in the Dean of Students Office in the Bone Student Center, students can meet with McKibbin to talk about any legal problems or concerns.

“I prefer to meet with a student in person,” comments McKibbin. “Since each legal situation can be different, this allows me to get a better grasp on the specific circumstance(s) and the issue(s) to provide the best legal information for the situation.” McKibbin also wants students to know they can visit him about any concern, “There are no bad questions. So talk with me in person about your concern, even before an issue may arise.”
