Catalyst Grants

A catalyst is a person or thing that causes an important change to take place. Leadership and Service offers Catalyst Grants (up to $1,000) to help students gain access to the resources necessary to further their vision to create change at Illinois State University.

Grant recipients receive financial support and guidance to implement programs and initiatives needed to bring their visions to reality. Apply for a Catalyst Grant at any time.

To be eligible for a Catalyst Grant, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a Illinois State University student in good academic and disciplinary standing, with at least one year left on campus at the time the grant is awarded;
  • Be an individual student, or part of a small team. A Registered Student Organization or an established group is not eligible to apply, but an individual group member could apply for their own project; and
  • The idea must be a new initiative, not an ongoing project in search of additional support.
