The cost to participate in the 2013 session of LeaderShape is $50, and is due to the Bone Student Center Box Office located on the first floor of the Bone Student Center by Friday, April 19, 2013. Payment covers transportation, lodging, meals, activities, and other materials. Some scholarships are available to cover the cost of attendance.
Student participants will depart from Illinois State University on the morning of Monday, May 13, 2013, and return on the afternoon of Saturday, May 18, 2013. More specific information will be provided to selected participants at the orientation sessions held in April.
The Peer Leadership Team is a group comprised of ISU students who graduate from the LeaderShape® Institute, and are interested in developing leadership and service skills that can be used in college and beyond. The Peer Leadership Team plans, promotes, and implements signature service programs and leadership development opportunities for students in conjunction with Leadership and Service. Members of the Peer Leadership Team also work to carry out the mission of LeaderShape® by supporting other graduates’ visions and promoting the program.
Members of the Peer Leadership Team will be prepared to plan and run large programs/event, communicate effectively in a team, participate in effective partnerships, and support the growth of others, all of which are crucial work and life skills.
