The Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) is a social organization comprised of students who have an interest in Asian culture. We are committed to promoting and sharing the richness and diversity of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Asian-Pacific American heritages and cultures with the Illinois State campus and Bloomington-Normal communities in order to increase the understanding of and appreciation for the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Asian-Pacific American communities and cultures. We also promote cultural awareness and student leadership on campus and throughout the community.
All students are encouraged to attend APAC's general assembly meetings, which meet biweekly on Tuesday nights from 8–10 p.m. in 314 Student Services Building. Join us for cultural, social, and educational programming; check out our Facebook for the topic of each meeting!
APAC hosts several major events each year including Diversity Advocacy Organization (DAO) Olympics & Cookout, a Cultural Showcase, and a Lunar New Year Celebration.
