Four Pillars for Life

Sorority and Fraternity Life is based on four core values, referred to as our Four Pillars for Life:

• Academics and Scholarship

  Each sorority and fraternity has a minimum grade requirement for participation in recruitment, initiation, and continuing membership. In addition, programs are offered such as study hours or tutoring programs.

• Brotherhood/Sisterhood

  Share a common bond and create lifelong friendships that are unique to the brotherhood and sisterhood of fraternal organizations.

• Service and Philanthropy

  Our fraternal organizations take pride in their active commitment to service. Whether raising money or donating time, service is an important part of the fraternity and sorority experience.

• Leadership

  Develop the teamwork, planning, and time-management skills needed to succeed at Illinois State and life. Be an active leader by getting involved at the local or governing board level of a fraternal organization
