Funding for this Academic Year – Opportunity Fund

Opportunity Fund applications will open on Monday, July 1, 2024.

The Opportunity Fund Applications are open until funds are depleted. Complete an application by reviewing the information below.

Applications must be the result of one or more of the following circumstances:

• An unexpected opportunity has arisen since the last Program Fund cycle
• The RSO experiences an unanticipated need
• The RSO has further developed a program concept that was not planned in time to request from the Program Fund
• The organization was created after the Program Fund closed

Application Procedures

1. Complete a Budget Spreadsheet for each event and travel request and attach them to the Opportunity Fund Narrative Form. Only electronic copies will be accepted.
2. Applications must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the event/travel date, as the hearing must take place a minimum of six weeks in advance of the event/travel date.
3. Register for a funding hearing by completing the Opportunity Fund Narrative Form above and selecting a hearing date. Funding hears are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
4. RSOs will be notified of the results via email within two weeks of the hearing.
5. RSOs that receive funding through the Fee Board will need to have a student leader and advisor meet with the RSO Financial Associate to review the purchasing guide and complete necessary account paperwork.
