Student Support Services

The Dean of Students Office provides guidance and support throughout your entire journey as a Redbird! We have a Dean on Duty available every weekday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. to help with any questions or concerns about Illinois State, including academic or medical issues, personal concerns, or questions about University policies.

  • Dean on Duty

    The Dean on Duty is available to listen, assist, serve, or help students/family members navigate through the University.

  • Student’s Attorney

    Providing students with the legal information and guidance to help resolve concerns and focus on what's most important - their education.

  • Off-Campus Services

    Support and services to students living in privately owned apartments in Bloomington-Normal and surrounding communities.

  • Student Navigators

    Student-led program connects peers to essential resources during times of need, offering quick and compassionate support.

  • Undocumented Student Support

    ISU embraces diversity as a core value and welcomes all students, regardless of citizenship status.

  • Student Access and Accommodation Services

    Illinois State University ensures equal access and support for all students.

  • Case Managers

    Meeting with a Case Manager is a supportive, one-on-one opportunity to talk through challenges and get connected to helpful resources.

    What to expect during your initial meeting with a Case Manager:

    • Introduction to the Dean of Students Office and available support services
    • Brief needs assessment and resource recommendations
    • Referrals to campus and community resources
    • Optional follow-up meetings

Notary Services

Notary Services are available by appointment in the Dean of Students Office, 387 Student Services Building, during operating hours. Call (309) 438-2008 to schedule an appointment. These services are available at no charge to Illinois State students, staff, and faculty.
