Looking for information about university policies and procedures, need assistance with leading a registered student organization (RSO), or just need a little extra support? Student Activities is here to help. Here are some resources to get you started.
The RSO community is moving towards a more virtual environment with the University's response to COVID-19. We recognize that this may be a big shift for your organization. We have provided resources to help your organization function, recruit/engage members, and host events in a virtual environment.
Support members with suggestions from Redbirds Keep Thriving, a website to help students with the additional stress caused by the pandemic.
RSO Presidents and Treasurers are required to complete an orientation to maintain their RSO's status with the University. RSO Advisors are also provided with an orientation to assist with understanding their role.
The most important tool you can use as an RSO is Redbird Life. All students, especially those new to Illinois State University, are being encouraged to log in to learn about events and to find student organizations they wish to join. Make sure to learn more about RSO Profile Basic Functions.
If having issues with Redbird Life, consider reviewing our RSO Frequently Asked Questions document.
The Student Involvement Center is a space for students to cultivate connections to campus life. Located in 225 Bone Student Center, across from Qdoba, and open Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. To inquire about amenities, please email StudentOrganizations@IllinoisState.edu or call (309) 438-2151.
Only Illinois State University students, faculty, or staff should request a meeting through the signup process listed. All other meeting requests should be processed through the main Student Activities Office.
